The pointillist artist, usually renowned for his resin sculptures characterized by a white silicone coating, surprises us once again. Responding to a specific request from an American client, the artist created an impressive sculpture: a majestic gorilla, 3 meters tall, entirely black.
A completely bespoke, personalized artwork that Eddy and his team have enhanced with no fewer than 500 black silicone cartridges and numerous Swarovski® crystals. Eddy Maniez created this sculpture entirely from scratch, first sketching the model by hand. He is involved from the very beginning and throughout the design process to bring his work to life, before moving on to the prototyping phase.
A colossal sculpture weighing nearly 400 kg, where every detail has been meticulously covered with tiny studs. Proof of the rigor and finesse that characterize Eddy's technique.
The gorilla , the artist's totem animal, expressing power and protection, exudes a strong personality and impresses.
Here, the client Grind Hard Ammo® aptly chose this animal to represent its grandeur and strength. The animal sculpture wears a military cap in the colors of the United States. The most striking feature is the brand's logo, delicately placed on the golf glove in the foreground. The brand name is also featured on the gorilla's left arm: an arm flexed and poised to drum against its chest.
This chest-beating act, practiced by dominant male gorillas to intimidate rivals, resonates up to 1 km away, and is a demonstration of dominance revealing to his peers his size and physical strength. With his mouth open, this gorilla proclaims his grandeur and protectiveness, ready to engage in a duel if necessary.
