Eddy Maniez is a pointillist artist, passionate about animals, he and his team through his modern works of art.

“A self-taught artist since my earliest childhood, I have always been drawn to creation, drawing, painting, fashion, music, architecture… I worked as a forester for 20 years. A lover of animals and their environments, they are a constant source of inspiration.”

Guided by humanity and creative generosity, he is curious about everything. His pleasure lies in playing with combinations, repurposed materials and varied textures in order to surprise the eye and the touch.

his vision

and his soul

“Influenced by a range of artists such as: Georges de la Tour, Nicolas de Staël, Van Gogh, Pierre Soulages, Vasarely, Seurat, Signac, Tapies, Dubuffet, Kandinsky, etc. Just like music, from classical to rock via blues, I need variations, contrasts to feel the emotions that will guide me towards pleasure, wonder, doubt and our existence.”

sharp to the eye, soft to the touch

Eddy Maniez designs his sculptures on paper with a pencil or on a computer. He is involved from the beginning and throughout the design process in order to give shape to his future work, before moving on to the prototyping phase.

Once this step is completed, he begins creating in resin or modeling in terracotta. He works in collaboration with a colorist painter to find the shades that best suit his project.

Only after completing these steps does he take charge of the work on the pieces, before entrusting them to his skilled team. All these aspects contribute to the richness and diversity of his works.

The precision
The precision

From the choice of the animal to begin with, its color, the lines and movements of silicone dots, the SWAROVSKI® crystals, everything is visualized mentally to bring to life true works of art.

Mastery
Mastery

Each silicone dot is applied freehand, with control of breath and gesture, no tracing, no preparation, by the naked eye.

He enhances his works with carefully chosen and hand-integrated SWAROVSKI® crystals.

"My silicone spike technique results from the combination of several things.

The initial idea came to me when I imagined protecting dishes and fragile items inside boats. An object covered with silicone studs is protected in case of impact in rough seas. Then, I imagined creating different diameters of silicone and applying different spacings between them, and that's how the ascending and descending pattern came about
